Instructor: Gail Crosman Moore
In this day long workshop we will explore and celebrate the unpredictability of borosilicate glass. Through the use of layering and fuel ratio we will discover some of the limitless possibilities in using
this fine material.
This class will include working through a package of some of the reducing and striking rods to get a feel for what happens when we alter the fuel environment and kiln temperature to familiarize students with the wonderful properties of this glass, using this knowledge to create a working palette. Included will be stringer use, frits and press molds.
