Do you have an unending list of knitting projects
you would like to try and you maybe do not have the time or expertise
to follow through on
your own. This class has been designed for the experienced knitter (advanced
beginner and up) who wishes to pursue more advanced patterns and who
would like the stimulation of a group experience and the presence of
a knitting instructor for individual help. Various aspects of knitting
finesse and specialized techniques will be presented. Bring additional
yarn for making samples.

KNITTING SOCKS FROM THE TOE UP!
Instructor: Cindy Malovany
No more guessing if you will have enough yarn to
make your socks just a little bit longer. And no more odds and ends of
little bits of leftover
yarn. By beginning your sock at the toe, you can knit until you run out
of yarn. Easy shaping, easy measuring, perfect fit! You can even try
on your sock as you go, so no surprises! It’s fun.
Supplies: Sock

KNITTING FRAME MASTERS
Instructor: Connie Blieszner
This is a class for intermediate/advanced frame knitters
who want to expand their knitting skills. Students will work on topics
of interest
to them or on projects of their choosing, at their own pace, with instructor
assistance. Knitters will have access to standard gauge, mid gauge and
bulky gauge knitting frames with manual, punchcard and electronic patterning
capability.
Supplies: Paper, pencil, scissors, tape measure, calculator.
If you have a project idea, bring appropriate materials.

FRAME YOUR KNITTING
Instructor: Connie Blieszner
This is a 3-day class designed for those who want
to learn to knit using a knitting frame, also called a knitting machine.
Beginning knitters
will learn how the knitting frame works and the basic techniques needed
to knit fabric and garments. Some of these techniques include casting
on, binding off and measuring gauge. Methods for shaping and seaming
knitted pieces will be covered. Students will knit a project which incorporates
the techniques. No previous knitting experience required.
Supplies: Paper,
pencil, calculator, scissors, tape measure, tapestry needle, T-pins,
lunch. Yarns for projects will be discussed in class.

BEYOND BEGINNING – FRAME
KNITTING
Instructor: Connie Blieszner
This class is designed for those who have some knowledge
of frame/machine knitting and want to learn more skills. Students should
know how to cast
on, bind off and knit with a frame. Students will learn to read knitting
patterns. Methods for shaping and seaming projects will be reviewed.
Stitch patterns such as tuck and slip will be introduced. Students will
knit a project which will allow them to use their newly acquired skills.
Supplies: Paper, pencil, calculator, scissors, tape
measure, tapestry needle, T-pins, lunch. Yarns for projects will be discussed
in class.
