Do you have an unending list of knitting projects you would like to try and perhaps you do not have the time or expertise to follow through on your own. This class has been designed for the experienced knitter (advanced beginner and up) who wishes to pursue more advanced patterns and who would like the stimulation of a group experience and the presence of a knitting instructor for individual help. Various
aspects of knitting finesse and specialized
techniques will be presented as the class desires. Bring your knitting project and additional yarn for making samples.

Left-handers will have the benefit of a left-handed teacher (no small thing!) and all students will be able to add in more advanced techniques as they feel ready.

Although lace may look complicated when it is finished, it’s often not nearly as difficult as it appears. For that matter, lace includes many kinds of structures – and yarn choice makes a huge difference in the appearance of the finished product. Knitted laces can be used effectively for women’s and men’s clothing, for delicate shawls and for luxurious blankets. In this class, students will have the opportunity to learn to read and knit from lace patterns, both written and charted, as well as develop an understanding of how lace is incorporated into shawls, stoles, garments, and home décor items.
Supplies: TBD in class.
