INTRODUCTION TO WEAVING I
Instructor: Heather Winslow
Join us in this condensed introduction to hand weaving
during which you will weave a nice warm winter scarf. You will learn
how to measure your
warp yarn and get it onto your floor loom (provided as part of your tuition
fee). Then you will weave a beautiful and comfortable scarf that not
only keeps your neck warm, but makes a fashion statement. Imagine how
proud you will be!
Supplies: Paper, pencil, scissors, tape measure, calculator.

TOTALLY TUBULAR, DUDE!

Have fun weaving tubes of cloth. No seams! There
are lots of fun, quick, and easy items you can make. Only 4 harnesses
required. Finishing techniques
will be demonstrated.

INTRODUCTION TO WEAVING II
Instructor: Heather Winslow
Join us for a concentrated weaving class designed
for those who have limited time and are only available on Saturdays.
We will dress the loom
with mercerized cotton and you can weave a small tea towel, pillow top,
table runner, or placemat in a twill weave structure in your choice of
colors. You will be so proud of your end results! Pre-requisite Introduction
to Weaving I, or having dressed a loom and woven at least one project.
Supplies: Paper, pencil, scissors, tape measure, calculator.

BEGINNING WEAVING
Instructor: Heather Winslow
In this condensed class, beginning weavers will be
introduced to the weaving process which includes fiber selection, warp
planning, dressing
the loom, drafting and weaving. Weaving will be done on floor looms
and will cover plain weave and simple twill weave structures. Each
student
will complete a project of their choice during the class.

WEAVING WIZARDS
Instructor: Heather Winslow
This is your opportunity to expand your horizons
and to work on a project of your choice. You decide what yarns, colors,
and weave structure you
want to use. Think of those experiments you have been so keen to try,
or special gifts you want to make. Heather will provide individual help
to each student as needed. Lectures will explain the basics of all the
structures used by students in the class. What fun it will be to work
on different things, and to be inspired by other student’s projects.
Pre-requisite is beginning weaving class or its equivalent.
Supplies: Scissors, tape measure, calculator, shuttles and bobbins.

WEAVING WHATEVER
Instructor: Robin Schoenburg
Choose a project, try a new technique, and weave
something wonderful. Are you thinking about weaving a rag rug but want
to know the tricks?
Do you have a burning desire to weave a throw but are daunted by
the size of the project? Have you been dying to weave on one of the
Swedish
looms but are worried about the tie-up? During this class time
I will be available to assist and instruct from start to finish. What
you
want to do is up to you.
Supplies: Note taking materials, colored pencils,
basic weaving supplies t-pins, scissors, cloth tape measure, shuttles,
bobbins, sley hook, yarn needle, calculator and your weaving fiber.

assistance. Potential
topics should be discussed with the instructor. Days, dates and times
must be arranged with the instructor.
