Annual Appeal
Just as spring is a time of renewal for all things good and beautiful, so The Fine Line feels it is a good time to send out their annual appeal letter to all of its members. Since we are a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit organization, we cannot continue to operate without help from our generous donors.
Our fundraisers, i.e. Raku Day, Uncommon Threads, Christmastime at The Fine Line: Members Show and Sale are very successful events for us. However, fundraising only covers approximately 25% of our operating expenses. Class tuitions make up about 40%. Although we do our share of writing for grants, we cannot always count on foundations awarding us funds for our operating expenses or new programs to be added to our curriculum.
Our annual appeal always focuses on bridging the gap between our income and overhead but at the same time we find that we do have to appeal for funds for the continued up-keep of both our buildings.
